So just what is Two By Two and why is their logo on Paramount 59?

A few years ago, owners Maria and Marvin Ney made a decision to partner Paramount Ambulance’s community support with a local program that reflected their own core values in support of today’s youth.  Two By Two is a non-profit organization founded in Dubuque. Their educators have developed research-based character curricula that teaches lessons about respect, responsibility and empathy to more than 2000 students annually Dubuque Community Public and parochial schools, and has gone nationwide. Two By Two’s mission is committed to developing responsible citizens of strong character who care for, respect and appreciate people, animals and the environment.

Two By Two’s interactive lessons for kindergarten through 5th grade teachers are used within a classroom setting and provide the community with character education tips that foster productive, respectful and empathetic citizens.  The five positive character traits that are consistently being reinforced are kindness, respect, empathy, cooperation and perseverance for building skills children need to succeed in work, school and life.
